About Me

01

Hi there 👋! I'm an MSc Data Science and AI student from Turkey with a BA degree in Architecture, currently studying in the UK. My dream is to find solutions for real-life problems within technology. I also like creating and developing things, so I work as a freelance creative developer. When I have time I'm coding to generate some cool artsy kinds of stuff as well.

Besides these; reading, learning, searching, designing, always taking action and remaining dynamic are my favourites. I have some other hobbies as well but let's keep here just with a few essentials 🤭. Welcome to my portfolio 🤗!

This Landing Page;

The design of this landing page actually belongs to an award-winning designer on the awards website. When I wanted to develop myself as a creative developer, I created this project from scratch as an exercise. This page, which includes many different techniques, is the first project I developed as a creative developer. Original Idea: by boko33.

Harmless Communication

Inform and empower others to be able to communicate freely without risking the personal security of them or who they communicate with. The idea is to create an experimental project to build a tool that is off-target because it seems irrelevant and does not require a deep-rooted infrastructure and an online connection, to solve communication problems caused by government restrictions during protests or the lack of infrastructure during natural disasters and other related causes. Whilst looking at the issues one may face with the rise of authoritarian regimes and the slow but eventual censorship of the internet, we began looking at alternative yet existing modes of communication. Rather than creating a solution that already exists- how could we bring light to this issue and help people better understand the tools they already have at their disposal? ...The presentation webpage to this project is still in progress...

Screen Headed Humans

This project aims to demonstrate the insignificance appearance of hate speech on social media by showcasing its impact solely on a screen. As a creative computing student, I developed an artificial intelligence model capable of detecting hate speech tweets on Twitter. Using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, I created a simulated Twitter timeline, replicating the platform's interface. Leveraging Python and Tweepy, I collected and utilized relevant datasets to generate content for this simulated timeline. During the exhibition, the project was presented in its raw form, emphasizing the system's structure and the phenomenon it represents, disregarding any aesthetic considerations. By showcasing the prevalence of such content, this project exposes its importance and efficiency, highlighting the unimpaired impact it has on the recipient...The presentation webpage to this project is still in progress...

Data Cemetery

This project revolves around the concept of data walking, utilizing various data sensing tools to explore different perspectives. We focused on cases where our senses, be it a single sense, a few senses, or our entire body, served as sensors. Our objective was to delve into the history of datasets, specifically those that were once indispensable but have become obsolete due to advancements in technology and a changing world. To showcase these datasets, we developed a website called Data Cemetery. Through this platform, we presented the remnants of data that were once crucial, allowing visitors to reflect on their significance and the evolving nature of our data needs...The presentation webpage to this project is still in progress...
